The “Synthesis” Sofa.
My latest creation.
My clients wanted a sofa for their growing family in their living room, a place that serves many functions.
On any given day it can be a grown up entertaining space, a place to chill. But it is mostly a jungle gym for the little ones.
The challenge for me as a designer was to create a unified piece that can withstand little ones and still look chic.
Side tables were not an option because my client was concerned about them falling over, so I elongated the arms to serve as side tables.
The fabric I chose is a faux leather (aka vinyl) that looks authentic and is easy to clean.
We chose a nicer fabric for the side pillows for the grown-ups. These can be easily moved when the SillyPutty® is whipped out.
The frame is veneered in walnut and matches the walnut legs. This sofa didn't cost a fortune either.
